Committed to high standards.
We review, audit and develop every aspect of life at St Anselm's — from clinical care and resident wellbeing to staffing, leadership and governance.
Supported by our Advisory Board and ongoing oversight processes, we continue to invest in our people, systems and environment to help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
Guided by independent expertise.
St Anselm's is supported by an independent Advisory Board bringing together experience across healthcare, medicine, business, finance and operational improvement. Through constructive challenge and strategic guidance, the Board helps support the Home's ongoing commitment to quality, continuous improvement and resident wellbeing.
Meet our Advisory Board:

Senior investment banker and Head of Corporate Broking. Advises on governance, financial sustainability and long-term strategic planning.

Senior Thoracic Surgeon. Provides independent clinical insight on patient safety, quality improvement and healthcare standards.
Consultant in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine, and a qualified nurse. Supports the Home with expertise in nursing standards, resident safety and compassionate care.

Senior management consultant and founder. Advises on operational effectiveness, process improvement and organisational performance.

Supports strategy, organisational development, communications and business improvement across the Home.
Supports wellbeing programmes, community engagement, PR and culture, helping to create positive experiences for residents and staff.
Developing our team, assuring our standards.
Ongoing training, supervision and competency review are central to how we assure quality at St Anselm's — keeping clinical practice current and care consistently safe.
Recent resuscitation training.
On 10 June 2026, our team came together off-site for a full day of resuscitation training — Basic Life Support, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), choking, and managing acute physical deterioration. Registered nurses completed an additional session on airway management.
Training was delivered by Dr Polly Jordan, a Resuscitation Council (UK) Instructor. Sessions like this run regularly across the year, with time protected within rotas so the whole team can attend.
A small example of the ongoing investment we make in our people — and in the safety of the residents in our care.
