Life at St Anselm's

Care that still feels like living.

Family-run since 1987. The setting itself is part of the care — a respite for visiting families, whom we stay closely connected to.

Our Natural Environment

Our mature walled garden offers a calm outdoor space, with the sea air and open coastline of Walmer just a short distance away. Residents who enjoy being outdoors can spend time in the garden, visit the seafront where suitable, or simply enjoy the changing seasons in a peaceful coastal setting.

Nutrition & Dining

Meals are freshly prepared on site and tailored to residents' preferences, dietary requirements and nutritional needs. We eat together in small groups, alfresco in the garden, or privately in rooms when that's what someone needs — with snacks and drinks available throughout the day and night. Special diets, allergies and cultural preferences are accommodated as part of each care plan.

Sensory & Therapeutic Living

A conservatory-style room, soft afternoon light, doors opening onto the garden all contribute to the sensory-led spacing and design. A range of gentle activities are offered weekly, from music to art activities. Calm, comfortable spaces that support wellbeing and everyday life.
